Pitch coordinator and Site coordinator vacancies

Wakefield Sports Club require someone to join our small team managing pitches, the overall site, the bar and the club admin. We need a pitch coordinator to maintain in good order and organise the supervision of the artificial grass pitches including administering bookings – 25 hrs a week minimum plus additional hours as required. Must be able to manage staff and get on well with customers, and be a team player working alongside other staff as described above covering each others’ areas of work as needed. Ideally a hands-on person willing to undertake minor repairs together with ground and building maintenance. CV and letter of application explaining what you would bring to the role to the Secretary via email to or by post to Wakefield Sports Club, Eastmoor Road, Wakefield WF1 3RR by Friday 30 July.

We would also like to hear from anyone interested in a similar post of site coordinator ensuring our site and buildings are maintained and in good condition and managing the collection of income from weekday car parking on the site. We have one post available but existing staff have flexibility to cover the other role, depending on the strengths of the applicants.

Wakefield Sports Club is a busy multi-sport club in the Eastmoor area of Wakefield consisting of Hockey, Squash, Bowls and Rifle and Pistol clubs. It has 2 bars and function rooms and hosts the practices and performances of Wakefield Jazz Club. It boasts 2 water based Artificial Turf Pitches and a MUGA and the ATPs are used as a venue for national and regional hockey events.
