Well the Summer seems to have whizzed by in a blur and, before we know it, here we are getting back into the full swing of sporting activities at WSC. as the new season kicks off who could not be inspired though after the fantastic success of Team GB at the Rio Olympics. And (Wow!!) what an Olympics it was for Team GB. They came home with the best medal haul in over one hundred years, (67) surpassing London 2012 by two medals! Our GB paralympic team are currently doing brilliantly too and the very best of luck to them as their games continue.
The GB Ladies Hockey team certainly did us proud. They had a fantastic 2 weeks, winning all their games and coming home with a well deserved Gold. Great too that Captain, Kate Richardson-Walsh, was chosen as the flag bearer for Team GB in the closing ceremony.
Here at the Club we have lots of activities to tempt everyone (see opposite) with hopefully more to be added shortly. So, if you fancy trying something a little different, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Office for more details.
